GCSF is supporting students & providing extraordinary classroom experiences

Since 1986, the Greenfield Central School Foundation (GCSF) has been connecting our community to the classroom to support student learning, provide extraordinary classroom experiences and prepare all students for success. Originally established as the Set A Good Example Foundation (SAGE), the organization became GCSF after recognizing both the need and the opportunity to provide stronger financial support to the school corporation as a whole.

Through the Foundation and its partners, we are building a stronger community – helping our students succeed in school, in business and in life by preparing them as key contributors in the workforce and leaders for tomorrow.

As a champion for private giving to the G-C Schools, we partner with individuals, businesses, foundations, nonprofits, teachers, administrators, the school board, G-C alumni and the community to drive philanthropic investment in our schools. GCSF funds help facilitate programs for students of all ages and interests, including prepping for kindergarten, mentoring, STEM collaborations, anti-bullying education and many other programs.

As a former school counselor at Greenfield Middle School and currently the Director of School Counseling at Greenfield-Central High School , she has been involved with the Foundation since its infancy stages as Set A Good Example Foundation. She enjoys providing ways for our community to experience first-hand the amazing opportunities G-C teachers give to our students by highlighting their classrooms and helping people find and serve their passions in those same classrooms. She was instrumental in helping transform the Foundation from a volunteer led organization to an organization with an Executive Director.

Cary Sible

Cary joined the Greenfield Central School Foundation Board in 2023 because of the passion she has for education. She has a large, wonderful family that includes 5 children and she believes in the value of education.  Whether that education is through skilled trades or college, she believes it sets youth on a path for success. Having been a teen mom who, at the time, didn’t believe in herself, she can personally attest to the experience of an atypical journey. However, once she had people in her life that believed in her, she started believing in herself.

After graduating from Defiance College with a degree in Business Administration, Cary attended the University Of Toledo College Of Law, with scholarship honors. She thoroughly enjoyed law school; however, during that experience, she discovered that people, rather than the law, are her true passion. She then obtained her MBA with a Human Resources Management focus from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Cary believes in the power of building great teams through mutual respect, transparency, and communication.  To pay it forward for all the help Cary has received along the way, she loves volunteering at junior high and high schools, to not only encourage our future workforce, but to help provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Cary is grateful to have the opportunity to serve the educational needs of the Greenfield community through GCSF.

Chris Studabaker

As a parent of a 2 children and husband to a former Mt. Vernon teacher, Chris is very excited to be on the board. Greenfield feels very similar to their hometown of Bluffton, IN, and the sense of community was a big draw when they moved here from Indy four years ago.  Part of what drew them here is the fantastic mix of small town feel and proximity to Indy that Greenfield offers.  Chris has worked at Salesforce (formerly ExactTarget) for the past 13 years, with a focus on digital marketing technology and strategy. This has afforded him incredible professional experiences working with global brands, managing international teams, and speaking at conferences on various aspects of digital marketing.

Sue True

Sue joined the board in 2021. She and her husband have been Greenfield residents since 1994.  Sue is a 1976 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy and has a Masters in Health Administration from IU.  She worked for St. Vincent Hospital for 32 years and IU Health for 7, retiring in 2017.  Sue is active in Greenfield Kiwanis, volunteers at Hancock Health and is an active participant at Bradley United Methodist Church.  As a daughter of an educator, she learned long ago the importance of education and lifelong learning.  Sue is excited to be serving on the board as the interface of the classroom and the community.
